Brampton has many new subdivisions and builder closings alongside established detached and semi-detached homes. We act for buyers and sellers across Brampton.
Our office is a short drive away in Mississauga for signing in person.
Brampton closings we see often
- New-build houses and townhomes from builders, with closing dates that can move
- Resale detached, semi-detached and townhouse purchases
- Purchases by first-time buyers who qualify for Ontario's rebate
- Purchases and sales by investors, including properties with tenants
Builder closings: what to watch
On a new build, the builder sets the closing date and can extend it. The statement of adjustments can include development charges, utility connections and HST. We review the agreement and the final adjustments before you sign, and explain the Tarion warranty coverage that comes with a new home.
Land transfer tax in Brampton
Brampton has no municipal land transfer tax. Ontario's provincial tax applies, and first-time buyers may receive a rebate of up to $4,000.
Frequently asked questions
Can I sign closing documents remotely?
Ask us when you get in touch. Whether remote signing is possible depends on your matter and your lender; otherwise you can sign at our Mississauga office.
What if my builder delays closing?
Send us the agreement and any notices. Delays can have consequences for your mortgage and for compensation, and the contract terms decide your options.
